Steven & Cheryl Barnett

Steven and Cheryl serve as Innkeepers at Shepherd’s Inn. Steven served as a worship pastor for over 25 years, as well as a student pastor for six years. Cheryl has served in the corporate world and in the education field working with special needs children.

God planted the vision for the Inn in their hearts over 20 years ago during seasons of rest and retreat and in response to seasons of burnout in ministry. They have a deep belief in the power of hospitality as a safe environment for the Spirit to bring about rest, renewal, and care.

Steven also serves on the board of Shepherd’s Inn as President.

CJ & Kristina Whiteaker

CJ and Kristina serve on the board as Vice President and Treasurer respectively. They have both been an integral part of the development and formation of Shepherd’s Inn since it’s inception 2018.

CJ served as a children’s and education pastor and business administrator, as well as a marriage and family counselor. He is a certified Spiritual Director and currently serves as an HR Business Partner and Consultant at Operative Solutions.

Kristina is the Director of Accounting for Mission Driven Research in Huntsville, Alabama.

Nathan Goldsmith

Nathan joined the board in 2023 but has served as our renovation coordinator since 2020. He is a former realtor and contractor and now serves as a home inspector and owner of Huntsville Home Inspection and is co-owner of Block and Beam structural repair.
