Quick Update - August 21

From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets the name of the Lord is to be praised!   - Psalm 113:3

Greetings, friends and family! We've been enjoying some beautiful mornings and evenings here at the Inn. The last week has felt a little less like summer and teased us with some autumn-like temperatures. We look forward to more of that as we move into September and prepare to "soft" open the Inn.

The last few weeks have been a flurry of activity. Lots of detail work (mostly trim and paint) is going on as we put the finishing touches on the main floor of the Inn. All of our bath fixtures have arrived, and our final plumbing install is beginning this week. This means the kitchen and our main floor guest baths will be completed!

The Lord has provided almost all of the resources needed to complete the final plumbing install through several generous gifts. What a blessing! We are still in need of about $1,300 to complete this step. Once completed we can get our final inspection!

With that in mind our next two major next steps are:

$1,300 - Plumbing Final Install
$3,000 - Landscaping

These two steps fulfilled allow us to open the main floor guest rooms and begin to fully provide the ministry of rest, renewal, and care at Shepherd's Inn!

If you would like to help with either or both of these next steps, click here to share a tax-deductible donation.

In between construction days, we've been able to host a ministry couple for dinner and two pastor day visits, giving us the opportunity to flex some hospitality and encouragement muscles. Our hope is to "soft" open in late September, meaning weekends only, and eventually moving to four nights a week later this year. This schedule will help us establish healthy rhythms and refine our daily processes while completing the finishing touches on the main floor, around the property, and the downstairs guest rooms.

We're looking forward to opening Shepherd's Inn very soon, and we are so glad you are a part of this journey with us. Thank you for your continued prayers and support, and your love for those who serve the church and the mission field!
